Like most website owners, I have been informed, that I should publish a privacy policy, in order to keep some people happy, so here goes!
It is important to note that this website is run by an individual (as a hobby and for private use) and is not affiliated to any business or commercial entity.

X-Mouse Button Control Specifics

• X-Mouse Button Control has a crash reporter built in to it which allows you, if you choose, to submit a bug report so help diagnose problems and improve the reliability of the software. If you choose to do this, a report will be sent to and stored on my server. The report includes a windows crash dump, a copy of your settings file and a copy of the log file.

• When you install X-Mouse Button Control (not applicable for the portable version), the installation package will open a web page upon completion. This page will increment a counter which tracks how many downoads and installations are completed. No other information is stored.

• No other contact is made to my webserver. For example, version checks are done with a simple DNS query, likely answered/cached by your ISP, without physical need to contact my website or server directly.

Highrez Forums Specifics

If you create an account on the forums, the information provided, along with potentially identifying data such as your IP address will be stored in the forums back end database, for the following purposes:

• To remember you and your preferences.
• To contact you (via the email address that you provided when signing up, or as assigned to your account in the user control panel (UCP)) to validate/activate your account and to send any notifications for forum posts that you may have subscribed to.
• Your IP address(es), which are potentially personally-identifying, are logged and stored along with any your forum posts you may make.
• When registering with the forum, Your IP address and username will be checked using 3rd party tools such as StopForumSpam to ensure that you are not classified as a spammer.
• When posting to the forum, your IP address will be checked using 3rd party tools and shared with StopForumSpam to ensure that you are not a spammer.
• If you do post spam messages repeatedly, the administrators & moderators reserve the right to Ban/Delete/Blacklist you user account and/or IP Address, potentially including the submission of such information to a third party such as StopForumSpam.
• At any stage you can contact me on the forums, or by email, and request your account be deleted, after which, all personal identifying information collected will be removed. Your posts may remain in an anonymised fashion.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

No information gathered by this website that discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information is distributed to any third party, except where explicitly described above.
